The House.

Architecture · Materials · Interiors
01 · Approach

A quiet geometry.

Two volumes meet on the lake's edge — a low, stone-clad pavilion that opens to the water, and a taller block turned to catch the dawn. A pool cuts between them, aligned with the mountain on the far shore.

02 · Interiors

Rooms shaped by light, not lamps.

Bedrooms face east so the first blue of dawn arrives before the alarm. The corridors are deliberately dim — the house teaches you to slow down on your way through it.

03 · Water

A pool cut toward the mountain.

Twenty-two metres of still water, lined in salt-grey mosaic, aligned with the Mountain of the Dead. Mirror-flat at dusk. The fifth wall of the house is always the lake itself.

The feeling of being here

A day unfolds in four acts.

Dawn on the salt lake. A bicycle through the palm grove. Lunch on a travertine slab. Dunes at dusk. Stars as loud as a crowd.

The Designer.

Story · Philosophy · Portfolio
One architect · one oasis · seven years

Part architect,
part anthropologist,
part farmer.

The studio is small — two draughtsmen, a model-maker, a cook — and produces a single building every two years, always from the materials of the place.
